Premium Stock Trailers

Premium Stock Trailers

WITH LARGE CAPACITY

Three trailers for operations that move serious numbers — the arena-ready Roper Special, the 40′ Big Haul that loads from the ground with no chute, and the Step-Deck built for the serious cattleman. All three carry a 5-year limited warranty from a shop that has been building them in Bryan, Texas for over 60 years.

Three Premium Builds

Each one solves a different problem: working stock from the trailer, hauling commercial loads without a chute, or getting maximum capacity under a pickup hitch.

The hitch is the fastest way to narrow it down: king pin for a tractor unit, ball coupler for a pickup. After that it comes down to length, axle rating and how you load.

Premium Stock Trailer Questions, Answered

What makes the Roper Special different from a standard stock trailer?

The Roper Special is built for roping and arena work. The last 8′ has an open top and the trailer comes standard with two dally balls, so stock can be worked from the trailer. Everything else is full stock-trailer construction — 3/16″ or 7-gauge steel body, 8″ channel iron neck, Schedule 40 heavy-duty pipe gates — in 16′, 20′, 24′, and 28′ lengths.

What is the Big Haul cattle trailer used for?

For private or commercial hauling, the Big Haul is one of the handiest trailers you can own. It loads from the ground with no chute needed and has maximum maneuverability. It is built 40′ × 7’6″ with a king pin hitch, one 20K axle with air brakes and ABS, three crossgates, and an aluminum fold-up ramp to access the middle section.

How many cattle sections does the Big Haul have?

The Big Haul is built with 5¼′, 6¼′, and 7¼′ section heights, three crossgates and a 6′ rear section as standard, with an 8′ rear section available as an option. The first 10′ of floor is steel and the remainder is wood.

What is a step-deck livestock trailer?

A step-deck drops the belly of the trailer below the gooseneck to gain interior height and capacity without adding overall height. Gooseneck builds it in 28′, 32′, 36′, and 40′ lengths at 7’6″ inside width with a 6’6″ belly height, on 10K heavy-duty dual tandem axles.

What is the difference between a king pin hitch and a gooseneck coupler?

The Big Haul uses a king pin hitch, which mounts to a fifth wheel plate and suits commercial tractor units. The Roper Special and Step-Deck use an adjustable 2–5/16″ ball coupler — 25K on most lengths and 30K on the 40′ step-deck — which mounts in the bed of a pickup.

Do premium stock trailers carry the same warranty?

Yes. The Roper Special, Big Haul, and Step-Deck all carry a 5-year limited warranty, the same as every other Gooseneck trailer.

Where can I buy a premium Gooseneck stock trailer?

Premium stock trailers are sold through authorized dealers. Contact Gooseneck Trailer Mfg. Co., Inc. in Bryan, Texas with your location and you will be connected with the closest dealer.
